On closer inspection of your spec, it seems slightly different to the ones we mml115 – yours has PCI-X and whatnot, ours didn’t have that much expansion – gideo certainly got a better deal by the looks of things.

Never mind, found the ML G4 with the Xeon They said that as so many people are experiencing this problem they may develop a BIOS update but don’t expect anything soon.

I’d be surprised, and i always have the option of dumping a Quad Core in later.

ML G5 Graphics Card Issue – Hewlett Packard Enterprise Community

I purchased and installed a Gainward GT graphics card into the server, but upon booting into Windows Serverit stalled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This bios update appears not to have been made available for the G1. You must log in or sign up to reply here. I’ve got an HP Proliant ML G5 dual-core server and decided that I needed a little oomph in the graphics department as this server besides being used as a test-server will be my primary desktop. I am able to access up to 2. Using x64 here. Can I ask why you wouldn’t use it as a server? A side note, the hard drive fitted as standard is really slow, worth fitting a new master drive at least.

I and 20 of my friends also have the extact same problem, let me when you fix it as it is very annoying, espically as i have 8GB of HP RAM really wish i did not buy this server Why can not HP fix this problem I have found also that setting the memory below 2GB solves the problem.

I’m going for the thats got the xeon with some extra ram to take it to either 4 or 8 budget depending. Workaround found for this Fingers crossed they’ll be able to sort this. Just thought I’d give you an update. Just an update which someone mind find helpful.

My advice to HP is please put a decent card in the first place even if this is a server fingers cross someone will solve this issue.
